About Us

The Background
The Mortgage Market was established in 1997 by the Directors, Charles Davis and Daryl Hyde who between them have over 40 years experience in the mortgage industry.  

The Mortgage Market pride themselves on giving a first class professional and efficient service.  The head office is based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire and we cover all local areas, although we can advise further afield if necessary.  Our business comes mainly from referrals and our existing substantial client database.  Appointments can be made to come into our office in Dunstable or a home visit if preferred.

Most clients need professional mortgage advice to run in tandem with their overall financial planning. When reviewing their investment or pension planning, clients should also review their present mortgage arrangements.

The Company
THE Mortgage Market offers mortgage and protection advice only. We do not offer Investment, Pension, Buildings and Contents advice etc. We are registered with the FSA (Financial Services Authority) to give independent mortgage advice from 31st October 2004.

The Method
All of our advice is offered either over the telephone, by email or face to face, where an appointment can be made in the form of a home appointment or at our premises in High Street North, Dunstable.
As we are independent advisers, we have access to software that helps us source mortgage schemes that are available from all the different lenders in the country.
We contact referrals quickly.  We will take a detailed analysis of your mortgage objectives and give you the best advice according to your needs, along with a reason why we are recommending a particular product to you.

Fees

For mortgage advice we are usually paid by commission from the lender. It is our normal policy to charge an administration fee of £395.00 on completion of the transaction in addition to receiving commission from the lender.

However because we are independent we also offer you a purely fee option. With this option you will pay a broker fee of 1% of the mortgage loan on completion of the transaction with the commission paid to us by the lender rebated to you. As an example, for a mortgage loan of £50,000.00 you would pay a total fee of £500.00
